What a weekend! Flood Fundraiser, Book Sale, Cork in the Fork, and Hot Air Balloons… Who could ask for more!!!
Saturday was a busy day here at Yeoman’s in the Fork. During the day we held our first front yard book sale. The weather was perfect, and we met a lot of nice people who were out enjoying the day here in our quant little hamlet. Sales weren’t bad either!!! :)
Later on in the afternoon the town was bustling with the annual “Cork in the Fork” wine tasting and fundraiser. We were even invaded by hot air balloons.
In the evening we hosted Leah Charter, the editor of the “Tennessee Flood 2010” book for a fundraiser of our own. Leah is always a trooper, and we enjoyed having her out, and shedding light on those still affected by May’s devastating flood and how every small donation helps.
If you were unable to attend our fundraiser on Saturday night, and would like to make a donation to the Tennessee Flood 2010 Project that benefits The American Society for Protection and Care of Animals, Otter Creek Church Outreach for Tent City, and the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Please visit www.tnflood2010relief.com to do so.
We’ll be posting later this week a great interview Mike did with Leah on Saturday night to our You Tube Channel, but until then, here are some pictures we took to share.
