Yeoman’s in the Fork Books to be featured on Discovery Channel’s new show “Auction Kings”
Yeoman’s in the Fork, Rare Book and Document Gallery in historic Leiper’s Fork will have some of their books featured on The Discovery Channel’s new show “Auction Kings”.
The show premieres Tuesday, October 26th at 9:00 pm central, and the first episode to feature Yeoman’s in the Fork will be on November 2nd when the show auctions off their 1747 edition "Universal History: Grecian and Asiatic History" once owned and signed by John Hancock.
“We were contacted by Authentic Entertainment which produces the show about six months ago. They were interested in any historical books or documents that have a unique story behind them, that could be featured on the show, and that we’d be willing to auction off. What better story to tell than auctioning off a book that was owned, and signed by John Hancock! So after a couple of weeks of negotiating the terms of the auction, we came to agreement and we headed down to Atlanta, GA for taping.” says Mike Cotter, Director of Operations, at Yeoman’s in the Fork.
The show is filmed outside of Atlanta at Gallery 63 Auction House. Mike and Yeoman’s will be featured on several episodes throughout the year, including an episode where Mike is the featured Document Appraiser.
“The whole experience has been a blast! We look forward to the episodes airing, and hope the show turns into an instant hit.” says Mike Cotter, Director of Operations, at Yeoman’s in the Fork.
