Hi, I’m Melody Krafft and I am a fore-edge painter.  Until about a year ago I had never heard of fore-edge paintings; now I find myself scouting out old dusty bookstores looking for the perfect book to create a fore-edge painting on. 

Fore-edge painting is a brand new art form for me.  Just imagine painting on the edge of every page in a book, so when you fan or spread the pages out, a painting appears.  That’s what I do.  I never dreamed I would be doing this—but here I am, being more inspired by the moment with new ides and excitement about breathing new life into an old lost art form.  

Life is full of wonderful surprises.  Just think about your own life.  Think about the times when you are willing to walk through a new door, or just do something different.  What happens?  You put into motion an expansion of your life.
