Back from St. Pete and in FINAL PREP for the third 'Old Time Radio Hour with Robert Hicks' this Thursday night!!
The 30th annual antiquarian book fair in St. Petersburg has come and gone... We headed down to Florida last week filled with the hope and promise of sunshine and brisk sales. The selling went great, but the sunshine was in short supply I'm afraid. It was great to see our old friends (both clients and dealers) once again in celebration of the book and another day above ground. If you enjoy rare books and/or collectible paper treasures, this show is a MUST! I am proud to say that this was our fourth year of exhibiting at 'The Coliseum', where the event is held, and the show gets better and better with each 365 day cycle. Lighthouse Books, Michael, Sarah, Larry and the rest of the gang know a thing or two about making a show a success. The food is good, the drinks are always flowing and the mood is always set with live music. If you've never seen 'The Coliseum' itself, you can always catch a glance or two at its beauty in the 1985 Ron Howard film 'Cocoon' by the way... Thanks to all of those who made for a great show and be sure to check out the 12 minute video up on YouTube which shows several items that we actually had on display.
