Why are some decisions hard to make? I find myself looking at my books, wondering which one is next. They are waiting to be painted on. Some books sit quietly. Others as soon as I bring them into my studio are yelling, Paint Me! I don’t know if your books talk to you, but mine all have a voice. Perhaps it is the voice of the author calling for a platform to bring readers back to their message.
Gandhi has been on my mind for a while, and when I discovered The Life of Mahatma Gandhi by Louis Fischer sitting on a bookshelf when I least expected it, I knew I had to get it. It was waiting to be painted on.
As a visionary leader, Gandhi viewed all people as his family and transformed social and political structures through methods of peace. He is a reminder of the possibilities we all hold. We can bring peace into our world, one person at a time. Real authentic change begins within each one of us. Just allow yourself to imagine what you would like to create? Then do it.
