Davy Crockett marriage license returned...for now

An interesting story about ownership of the marriage license of folk hero and Tennessean icon, Davy Crockett. Margaret V. Smith of Tampa, FL says she inherited the piece from her uncle, who claimed to have found it discarded outside the Jefferson County, TN courthouse. Mrs. Smith recently had it appraised on "Antiques Roadshow" and it was valued at $20,000 to $30,000! A judge in TN ordered it returned and it is currently locked in a vault in Jefferson County...for now, at least.
