Great story about The University of Alabama's recent acquisition of rare books and photographs, perhaps the most extensive on Americana and Southern history material ever assembled!
"The university paid $3.5 million for the collection of about 20,000 rare books, 12,000 photos, manuscripts and other documents dating back as far as 1687, but it has been valued at more than $12 million. The collection includes the signature of every U.S. president, documents chronicling much of Alabama's history as a state and a prized collection of Civil War photos."
It's a collection Yeoman's wouldn't mind taking a look at!
